Last night was one of those ‘big events’ that I am performing at more frequently these days (and certainly hope to in the future)… and this was a biggie..
Live at the Crown Palladium, I speed painted my way through massive portraits on canvas of Tiger Woods and Shane Warne.
I was set on a revolving stage in the centre of the room and worked my way between the paintings over twelve minutes which were back to back on the stage. Multiple cameras and large screens captured every brushstroke for the audience. Both Tiger Woods and Shane Warne came to the stage, were interviewed and signed their respective paintings – which were later auctioned for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
To paint live two of the greatest athletes ever in one night? Yes this was certainly a big event.
Thanks to IMG and the team at Peter Jones Special Events…
